Thought For The Day- Is It Possible

So Jesus said to them, “Because of your unbelief, for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you. “-Jesus Matthew 17:20 NKJV.

If you have been following my blog, you know that I use the Bible, the word of God as a basis for everyday living. I believe the bible is God’s playbook for how we are supposed to live. I understand that not everyone shares this belief and even if you just take the bible at face value it still can impart wisdom and knowledge. In the verse above, Jesus Christ describes how faith is supposed to work by getting rid of unbelief. Diving deeper, Jesus is describing how to use the principle of God’s kingdom effectively here on earth.

Google defines impossible as, “not able to occur, exist, or be done.” So, if you ask me about what I think of that definition, I would say laughable. Jesus also told us in Mark 10:27, NKJV, that nothing is impossible for God, only with men, however, if men remove all fear, doubt and disbelief then, nothing will be impossible for men as well. Impossible is a word we use when we have placed a limiting belief in our minds about a situation. Sometimes, this belief is so strong that even when we pray to God for assistance, the limiting belief stops the prayer from getting answered and then we blame God for not answering the prayer. The truth is before you pray about anything, you must first believe, which means, you must first readjust your mind, forget everything you know about that thing and form a new belief and then pray, Matthew 21:22, NKJV.

God has infinite power to do anything and everything and he has given us this same ability through Jesus Christ. The one thing God cannot do for you is make you believe in him otherwise, we would all believe in God and there would be no other choice. You must make that choice to trust and believe in him and his word. The sad truth is that we place more belief in other humans like ourselves than we do in God. As a human being, I know what we are capable of, even the best of us fall short sometimes so, why would you place your trust in someone who can let you down. I would rather put my trust in God because He can’t fail nor let me down. In this equation, I am the only one prone to failure so, if things don’t go the way I had hoped, the only person I can blame is me.

The only impossible things are things that you don’t believe. Let me make something clear to those who find it hard to comprehend this, saying that you believe in something does not mean that you truly believe. Believing takes place in your mind and heart, sometimes you have to say things out loud repeatedly so it can register in your mind, but the mind is what needs to be convinced. Keep this in mind (no pun intended) as you journey through life and don’t ever let anyone tell you anything is impossible. I will go as far as saying that anything you can imagine in your mind is possible, the million-dollar question is, do you believe it’s possible? These are Julien’s thoughts and what’s on his mind.
