So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God.” Mark 11: 22 NKJV.
When I woke up this morning, I gave thanks to God for allowing me to see another day that was not promised to me. I then had a talk with God in form of prayer and I made a request, I then proceeded to start my day. A few minutes afterwards, I heard a voice ask me “do you trust me to do what you asked?” Knowing that the only request I had made was to God I said, “yes God, I trust you,” Then He said, “but do you really trust me,” before I responded, I sat back down and thought long and hard.
If we were to be brutally honest with ourselves, we would find that we sometimes put more trust in other people like our families, friends and even co -workers than we do God. The irony to this is that the people we sometimes put our trust in, have a higher probability of letting us down than God does. Some of us have experienced this multiple time, including yours truly. It’s Christ like to never give up on loved ones no matter how many times they let us down because after all, that is what God requires of us, since we sometimes fall in that category with him. However, if we place that initial trust in God, who would never let us down, we can relieve our loved ones of that responsibility.
The reason we sometimes don’t trust God is because of what we believe to be facts in our minds. Allow me to explain, take for instance, facts would tell us that someone with bad credit and hardly any money down will be unable to purchase a home in the United States. God does not deal in facts, He deals in the impossible, that way only He can get the glory since it goes against our facts. If we can unlearn some of what we believe to be facts, we would be able to experience more miracles from God.
Having thought long and hard, I answered and said, “God I really trust you but help me in the area that doubt could possibly come up.” The holy spirit then gave me this scripture, “God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?” Numbers 23:19 NKJV. This scripture in Numbers is the reason why we should all really trust God, He is incapable of going back on His word. I am learning to trust and depend on God more and more each day and he always comes through. Put all your trust in God today through Jesus Christ and you will never be let down again. These are Julien’s thoughts and what’s on his mind.
