Then He said to His disciples, “Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; nor about the body, what you will put on.” – Jesus. Luke 12:22 NKJV.
Why do we worry? We worry when things do not go the way we planned it. Sometimes we worry for other people that we love, other times we worry about what people think about us. Most times we worry about the necessities of life, food, shelter, clothing and money. There are also various times in our lives when we worry about other issues that are just as important and, in some cases, more important than the necessities of life. Unfortunately, no one person or group can avoid worry in this world, some people just have a better way of dealing with it than others.
In the above bible verse, Jesus acknowledges that we worry about these things which to me is good news. The reason it is good news is because, If Jesus knows it then God knows it too because He said, “I and My Father are one.” John 10:30 NKJV. If you continue to read the passage in Luke 12, Jesus explains how God takes care of the birds, the lilies in the field and how we are worth more to Him than the animals and flowers. He goes on to say that worrying doesn’t solve our problems and by worrying we cannot increase our height or make our hair grow. One of the most important things he said in this chapter is that God knows that we need these things. This should also put a smile on your face because if God is aware of it, he has already made provisions for it. It’s OK, you can go ahead and do your happy dance now.
God knows everything you worry about, whatever it may be. He cares about the things you care about and even the things that keep you up at night. He is more than capable of solving all your problems, even the ones you think is so complicated that no one understands. God is our father and every good and loving father care about their children and I promise you, there is no father on the face of this earth as good as God. God wants you to believe in his son Jesus Christ, accept him, trust him and cast all your cares and worries upon him and he will give you rest. As you read this blog, consider this an invitation from God to bring all your worries to him and trust me nothing is too big for him. Pray to God through Jesus Christ and believe without any doubt, that he has not only heard your faithful and honest prayers but that he has also answered them all. Do this and watch your worries, fears and anxieties dissipate. These are Julien’s thoughts and what’s on his mind.
